The task of educating and molding your children should not be left for teachers only parents also need to be involved. When Mom and Dad get involved in the upbringing of their child, things such as school grade tend to improve. That said I have listed five things that teachers actually want form parents.
5. Read To Your Child
It is highly recommended that as a parent you should read at least three or four times a week to your child, by doing so you will be planting seeds for a lifetime which will be filled with reading.
4. Get To Know The Teacher
Knowing the teacher of your child is very important. In addition to that you should see to it that you set time aside so as to meet up with him/her.
3. Encourage Friendship Outside School
Solid teamwork is important for a classroom to be able to work best. Due to the lack of time in school, do ensure that your child spends time outside school knowing other students. This can be done by encouraging your child to take part in play dates as well as after-school activities.
2. Take Part in School Events
You should see to it that you attend school events in school such as school talent shows, seasonal potlucks as well science fair nights. This should be maintained even in situations where your child is not playing on any team.
