Galveston Professor Fails Entire Class, Quits Course
Professor Irwin Horwitz flunked his entire class because his students were incompetent and disrespectful, the processor said on Wednesday.
According to reports, Horwitz flunked his entire class because his students were all hopeless. In addition to flunking his students, Horwitz also quit his position as a professor at the school. In an email that was sent to his management class, Irwin Horwitz did not hold back stating that, “I am frankly and completely disgusted. You all lack the honor and maturity to live up to the standards that Texas A&M holds, and the competence and/or desire to do the quality work necessary to pass the course just on a grade level.”
He went on further to state that, “I will no longer be teaching the course and [you] all are being
Awarded a failing grade," this is according to Insider Higher Ed.
In his message, the professor stated that his students cheated in the exam while telling him to “chill out” and additionally calling him an “expletive moron”. In addition to that they spread false rumors about his life constantly online.
While speaking to KPRC news, the professor said that he felt unsafe in his classroom at some oint when he is teaching and that in his 20 years as a teacher, he has never thought so low of his class.
“None of you, in my opinion, given the behavior in this class, deserve to pass, or graduate to become an Aggie, as you do not in any way embody the honor that the university holds graduates should have within their personal character," he wrote to the students.
