“Bilingual birdies” uses dance & music to teach foreign languages
We all know it is a great plus to be able to converse in a foreign language and it is not easy to accomplish. It can be a tremendous advantage for travel, for business, and for applying for a job. This is precisely why the Bilingual Birdies program was started for preschoolers and kindergarteners.
The program is not focused on teaching the children to speak a foreign language, but more about teaching children about foreign cultures and how to embrace them. They don’t use books and they don’t have homework; they sing, they dance, and they learn poetry. This is how the teachers can be sure that the preschoolers will leave the class with a smile on their faces.
“Bilingual Birdies” wants to do more than this, so they also started a program meant to help the people from Kenya. They want to teach English to the children and to teach the educators how they can help their students to study better and more efficiently.
This cannot be done without funding, so they started a campaign to raise $15,000. People saw what the program entailed and they were happy to donate. They are just a few pennies away from reaching their goal, and it won’t be long before they will be able to start their project.
